FTL (Full Truckload)

FTL (Full Truckload)

Full truckload, commonly referred to as FTL, is a method of shipping where a truck carried one dedicated shipment.

FTL services are especially recommended if the shipments are large enough to fill or nearly fill an entire shipping container. There are primarily three types of full truckload shipments. They are dry van, flatbed, and refrigerated also known as a reefer. Exclusive use of a trailer is when a shipment, no matter the size, is placed on a trailer and transported to destination without other freight.

The transit time for FLT is less compared to LTL, as the truck is making no other pickup or drop-offs along the way.
