When a steamship line is selected, FPG provides estimated chassis repositioning charges based on expected pickup and return locations. Actual costs may vary due to daily equipment positioning, which is beyond FPG’s control.

Chassis rental rates shown do not account for any private agreements a customer may have with steamship lines or chassis pools.

6. Tanker-Endorsed Cargo
Shipments requiring tanker-endorsed coverage must be quoted separately through [email protected].
7. Layover
Due to motor carrier regulatory requirements, an unscheduled delay may result in a $500 layover fee per day, in addition to standard pre- and post-move hourly detention.
8. Convention Center Deliveries
Delays at convention centers may have fees resulting in detention and or layover fees. The rate does not include convention center parking, unloading, material handling, or additional stops along the route.
9. Ferry Access
FPG cannot arrange transportation to locations accessible only by ferry, as such services are not covered by our insurance policy.
10. Currency and Rate Validity
All rates are in U.S. Dollars and are subject to change without notice.
11. Special Pricing Requests
For large warehouses or DCs (Menards, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.), over-dimensional, overweight, or volume discount pricing, email [email protected].
12. Hazardous Commodities
Hazardous freight is subject to FPG approval. FPG does not handle the following hazardous classes: 1, 2, and 7. FPG reserves the right to refuse any shipment. The shipper/consignee is responsible for correct placement and removal of hazardous placards.
13. Reefer Containers
Commodity descriptions and declared value are needed prior to delivery order acceptance. Rates are based upon the use of a nose-mounted genset (120-gallon diesel tank). Maximum Reefer cargo weight: 35,000 lbs. (20′) or 38,000 lbs. (40′ STD/HC).
14. Accessorial Charges
Additional fees may apply, including but not limited to rail lifts, chassis rental, repositioning, or prepull services.
15. Steamship Line Per Diem
Customers contracting moves through FPG are responsible for all steamship line per diem charges, regardless of when or how they are billed.
16. Liability and Cargo Valuation
FPG acts solely as a property broker, arranging— not performing— transportation.
Motor carriers provide up to $250,000.00 in cargo coverage.
Customers assume all risk for shipments valued above this limit unless FPG provides written authorization for additional coverage.
17. Commodities Requiring Written Authorization
Prior written acceptance from FPG is required for:
Beer, wine, spirits, carbon black, computers, computer hardware, deer hides, handheld devices (phones, games, remotes), household goods/personal effects, precious metals, jewelry, processed tobacco/tobacco products, valuable works of art, and electronic components for handhelds. Restricted commodities include bullion, precious stones, cash, copper, and securities.
Freight Partners Group acts solely as a transportation broker and does not operate as a motor carrier. By accepting this quote or tendering freight to FPG, the customer acknowledges and agrees to be bound by FPG’s General Terms and Conditions of Service provided herein. All transportation is arranged with duly licensed motor carriers who retain full care, custody, and control of cargo during transit. FPG’s responsibility is limited to its contingent coverages only. FPG maintains Contingent General Liability (GL) with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate, Contingent Auto Liability with limits of $2,000,000, and Contingent Cargo coverage with limits of $250,000 as shown on our Certificate of Insurance. These contingent policies do not replace or supplement the motor carrier’s primary insurance. Additional insurance is the responsibility of the customer unless separately arranged in writing with FPG for any cargo being tendered with a value that exceeds $250,000.
